Delivering AV production for executive-level programs requires a different level of discipline.
For Synovus Financial’s leadership meeting at Cobb Galleria in Atlanta, the focus was not on spectacle alone. It was on control, clarity, and consistency across every moment of the program.
Innovent Technologies served as the full-service AV production partner, leading technical design, system integration, and on-site execution for a 600-attendee leadership program delivered across multiple sessions.
This project highlights how structured planning, detailed CAD development, and coordinated execution define successful Atlanta AV production for high-stakes corporate environments.
Event Details
- Client: Synovus Financial
- Location: Cobb Galleria Centre, Atlanta, GA
- Event Type: Executive Leadership Program
- Attendance: 600 total (split across sessions)
- Scope: Full AV production, including lighting, LED video, staging, rigging, audio, IMAG, content development, and show control

Designing for Executive Communication
The production environment was designed to support leadership communication first.
That meant every technical decision had to reinforce:
- Visual clarity
- Consistency across sessions
- Controlled, distraction-free delivery
The stage design centered around a custom circular platform, creating a natural focal point for keynote and panel discussions. Dual wide-format LED video walls extended the visual field across the ballroom, ensuring clear sightlines from every seat.
Rather than treating lighting, video, and staging as separate systems, the entire room was built as a unified environment. This allowed transitions, speaker moments, and content playback to feel intentional and consistent throughout the program.

CAD-Driven Planning and Ballroom Layout
A major driver of success in this Atlanta AV production was early-stage CAD development.
We developed a full set of CAD renderings to define:
- Stage placement and geometry
- LED wall positioning
- Rigging points and truss layout
- Camera positions for IMAG
- Seating layouts and sightlines
- Cable paths and power distribution
Instead of relying solely on venue defaults, table layouts were engineered to align with both audience experience and technical performance.
This level of planning eliminated guesswork during load-in and ensured that every department was aligned before arriving on site.

LED Video and Content Integration
The visual system was anchored by dual wide-format LED walls spanning the stage.
Content was not treated as an afterthought. It was developed in parallel with the production design.
Our team:
- Designed all motion graphics and animations
- Collaborated directly with the client’s creative team
- Worked from detailed storyboards to align branding and messaging
- Finalized all content prior to load-in
A key enhancement was the introduction of subtle motion design within the LED content.
Rather than static backgrounds, controlled animation added energy and maintained audience attention without distracting from executive messaging. This became a defining visual element of the program.

Lighting Design and Room Coverage
Lighting was designed for consistency, not variability.
A flown truss system provided full-room coverage, supporting:
- Presenter lighting across the circular stage
- Even wash across panel positions
- Gobo projections for stage definition
- Architectural uplighting for depth and tone
Stage wash and gobo projection were sourced from overhead truss positions, requiring precise alignment to avoid spill onto LED surfaces.
The result was a clean, controlled environment where every presenter appeared consistent across sessions, regardless of timing or position.

Rigging Challenges and Real-Time Problem Solving
Rigging presented several challenges that required real-time adaptation without compromising the production standard.
One key issue involved a truss finish discrepancy.
Black truss was specified for the design, but silver truss was delivered on site with no time for replacement. To maintain a clean visual environment, truss teasers were sourced and installed to fully mask the structure.
Additionally, the rigging plan developed through CAD identified specific attachment points that required reinforcement. Upon arrival, the rigging team determined that those points could not be used without risking structural impact to the building.
Alternate points were evaluated, but they did not support the design intent.
The final solution required:
- Maintaining the integrity of the original design
- Adjusting rigging methods to meet structural requirements
- Coordinating closely with the venue to protect the building
This balance between design intent and real-world constraints is a defining part of experienced AV production.

Installation Sequencing and Coordination
Installation timing was critical to keeping the project on schedule.
A major dependency involved the upstage truss positioned directly above the LED walls.
This structure had to be:
- Installed
- Fully loaded with lighting fixtures
- Flown to trim height
Only after this could LED installation begin.
This required tight coordination across:
- Rigging teams
- Lighting crews
- Video technicians
Sequencing errors at this stage would have delayed the entire build.
Instead, coordination allowed all departments to stay aligned and maintain the schedule without sacrificing safety or quality.

Audio, IMAG, and Show Control
Audio and video systems were designed to ensure clarity across a large ballroom environment.
The system included:
- Distributed audio for even coverage
- Multi-camera IMAG for visibility and engagement
- Full recording of all outputs for post-event use
- Centralized show playback and control
While the program was not livestreamed, all camera feeds and screen outputs were recorded, providing flexibility for internal distribution.
Show control was structured for repeatability across sessions, ensuring that cues, transitions, and timing remained consistent.

Execution Across Multiple Sessions
The program was delivered across multiple sessions with identical content and audience structure.
This required the technical environment to perform the same way each time.
To achieve this, we:
- Built repeatable cue structures
- Maintained consistent lighting levels and camera framing
- Managed resets between sessions with precision
- Coordinated rehearsals to align timing and flow
This level of consistency is critical in executive environments, where variation can undermine the credibility of the message.

Program Result
The final environment delivered:
- Clear sightlines across the ballroom
- Consistent presenter visibility
- Integrated visual systems that supported messaging
- Reliable execution across multiple sessions
More importantly, it created a controlled and professional setting where leadership communication could land effectively.
The production did not compete for attention. It reinforced it.
Why This Matters for Atlanta AV Production
Atlanta is a highly competitive market for corporate events and conferences.
Delivering successful AV production in this environment requires more than equipment. It requires:
- Early planning and CAD development
- Coordination with venue and rigging partners
- Integrated system design across all technical disciplines
- Real-time problem solving during installation
- Consistent execution during live operation
This Synovus program is a clear example of how those elements come together to support high-level corporate communication.
Key Takeaway
Strong event production is not defined by individual elements.
It is defined by how those elements work together.
At Innovent Technologies, we approach every project as a complete system. From early planning through final execution, the goal is to create an environment that is clear, controlled, and reliable.
That is what allows presenters to focus on their message and ensures the audience stays engaged from start to finish.
